PAIN DESCRIPTION:
Your HMO/PPO can experience other IT problems. The most common source
of your pains is poor project planning and lack of consistent methodology.
We know exactly what needs to be done to make IT projects a pleasant experience for you.
Whether you have these or any other problems, we encourage you to
take advantage of your technical support specialists, who can answer
your questions and guide you through the Solution
Audit phase.
PAIN ANALYSIS:
Healthcare IT has wasted hundreds of millions of dollars in failed
IT projects over the years.
Projects fail for many reasons. Among them are poorly defined requirements,
lack of user involvement, scope creep, unrealistic time scales,
poor training, etc. But all of these reasons (and more) are symptomatic
of the chief cause, which is poor project management methodology,
or as some say, "no-methodology methodology". Executing
a project without a plan based upon a solid methodology is a recipe
for failure.
In order to ensure that information technology projects are conducted
in a disciplined, well-managed, and consistent manner, our project
managers employ a detailed project management methodology. Simply
stated, the goals of this methodology are to deliver quality IT
projects which are completed on time, within budget and work as
required.
The methodology consists of five overall parts:
- project conception
- project planning
- project launch
- project implementation
- project completion
Large and complex IT projects require a more meticulous application
of the project management process than do smaller clearly-defined
projects. In keeping with our philosophy of right-sizing,
our methodology is flexible to meet your unique requirements and
is applicable to a wide range of information technology projects.
We believe that one size certainly does not fit all and that a cookie-cutter
approach will not yield a successful project conclusion. Our experience
has shown that each project is unique in terms of objectives, budget,
operating and political environment, resources, and numerous other
variables all of which demand that each project is examined
separately.
In keeping with this belief, our project managers assess each project
individually in order to establish how to adapt our methodology
and define the set of project management processes that will be
used. The result of the Solution Audit phase is a Project Plan that
fits, not only the project at hand, but also your environment and
budget.
Most IT projects by nature involve integration of multiple vendor
and in-house developed systems. Managing the complexity of such
projects is one field in which we excel. Our project managers are
skilled in managing joint projects for managed care organizations,
HMOs/PPOs.
ADVICE:
The best way to start solving your problems is to go through the
Solution Audit phase.
One Demo is better than a thousand words, and one Solution
Audit is better than a thousand demos. We encourage you to follow
our CRM proverb and take advantage of this opportunity.
